I was waiting for Friedman to release his STFU attenuator for me PV 5150. a very good attenuator to look at is the rivera rock crusher. Of course, making it louder will amplify your mistakes. It adds something because when I turn mine up they change and sound better, less buzzy. So when the combo was first announced buying it seemed like a no-brainer. The formula for biasing is the plate dissipation of the tube ( 25 watts for a 6L6 or an EL34 ) divided by the plate voltage ( lets use 480 for this example ) times .7 will just get you out of crossover distortion and you can go as high as .9 percent.

Is hooked to a Mesa Boogie oversized Recto-Cab. I think they do recommend settings on the hot side, but as far as the specifics about dissipation, like I said call Bob and yell at him in bold that he is wrong.
