I like this banjo in that it's response readily allows me to switch from standard Scruggs style Bluegrass playing to plectrum style playing: I've played that style since I was a kid. I immediately ordered a zebra/katalox bridge from David, after having such phenomenal improvement to my Juggernaut, with a maple/katalox bridge. In a typical year wed make at least a quarter of our annual income in November and December. Because the wood is much drier than most other bridges I have tried, this means you can have a slightly thicker/taller bidge without the normal change in tone and volume usually associated with them. I had to change the bridge of my Recording King RK 80 and Silvio was in my town for a concert. Bridge type: Mystery wood (plain top) with custom compensation and medium (B) weight. No bridge is perfect for all banjos, but this one seems to have done what I had hoped for and is a keeper. The new Sullivan Roasted Factory Floor bridge gives my banjo a sound that is fun to hear and enjoy, let alone wanting to play more! I ordered an "Untopped Mystery Wood Bridge" from Bart Veerman. I am sufficiently pleased that I will likely order from Bart again when the time comes to replace this one. The highs were more or less unchanged from my previous bridge but the mids and lows took on a really rich timbre, with a 4th string that will make my liver quiver when I hit it right.
