The sides were just as tasty and complimented well, although, as previously mentioned, they were a little too much for one person.

Highly recommend this venue for quite early drinks with friends and convo, that can easily turn into late night bar fun with the DJ in action!I've eaten there and had the Duck confit leg and it was delicious. I like my steak medium well done and was very pleased. My last trip was for my father's 70th. The steak comes with a coleslaw and a sauce of your choice and you order sides serves of veggie to accompany your meal. Fresh and creamy. Blackbird offer luxury accommodation in the Byron Hinterland. The staff and food are  both amazing!

Black Bird Bar & Grill is a relatively new addition to the Riverside Precinct and there's been a lot of hype surrounding it. Don't hold back; wear your cocktail dress, grab a stunning drink and order a fancy meal. Instead we went out to the open rooftop bar and had a few drinks. It was packed but after jostling through the crowds, we found a small space to stand and enjoyed the Story Bridge and river views. I had the full blood wage stake. It's a beautiful venue and the bar staff are all so knowledgable and friendly. If you want to dine with a great view, Blackbird is your place. Service was a little slow at lunch but good. Fabulous dinner. If you forget or it is a lot of hassle there is an ATM next to the cocktail bar ($2.50 charge for using said privilege)* Eat the complimentary bread! Can't remember the name but the third one from the menu. For mains, our favourites were the Market fish, the sword fish, apple wood smoked duck, & free range pork cutlet. The shrimp were almost creepily soft and lacked and real flavor of their own, the steak was fatty, and the dessert included a very mediocre and hard donut. If you are willing to pay more make sure you have dessert, the first two times we went I was impressed by the desserts.

These are big enough to share between two or three people depending on how much you can eat. Blackbird restaurant features river views and two intimate private dining rooms. The restaurant area isn't huge but there is room for several tables of varying sizes as well as some comfortable looking booths.

Fair enough, and the assumption is that made in batches this would result in the food coming our quicker and being appropriately phased.The first warning came when it took a solid thirty minutes before the wait staff even got around to asking us for our selections. I had pretty sky high expectations for highly reviewed Blackbird, but when it came to our 24 person work dinner they unfortunately really dropped the ball.

The roll I picked (a variety was provided) was olive bread and was warm with a crunchy crust and the butter was amazing - do NOT skip the bread!Our meals didn't take too long to arrive and my meal was a work of art. The steak nearly melted in my mouth but with a slight hint of texture on the outside. It's a beautiful venue and the bar staff are all so knowledgable and friendly.
