It is not a great beach for swimming but, the turtles were everywhere. The living room and deck areas were spacious, bright, airy, and well furnished. The home was absolutely beautiful and clean, except the hot tub was dirty. The house was great! There were some things that weren't quite expected (like the traffic past the house and the back ups - which is not within their control) and the deck needs repair (cut my foot on an exposed nail the first day). We only had a couple of concerns. Everything was fresh and the service was great. first time renting a home and was not disappointed. We were lucky enough to catch the Haleiwa Christmas parade go by as we dined at the restaurant. The owners are considering the best way to possible add a railing to the staircase. Overall a great and easy way to be on the beach and have all the comforts of being in a house! The hike out to the western most tip of the island (Kaena Point)is a must do if you're able. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen is huge and stocked with everything you will need to cook & the view speaks for itself. We wanted an active vacation and were able to walk on the beach, see sea turtles, rented motorcycles, went deep sea fishing, hike to waterfalls, go zip lining and horseback riding, and spent everyday in the water surfing and snorkeling. The house is located 0.9 miles from Haleiwa Joes, and 1.2 miles from the market, drugstore and other restaurants.
